Dear members of the Slovenian Citizen Science Network,
We are forwarding the message below from Dr. Nikita Sharma as a news item.
She is reaching out to you in the context of the RE4GREEN project, through which they are currently offering a short training free of charge, specifically tailored to citizen scientists involved in environmental and climate-related projects.
To help participants get started, they have prepared a short webinar introducing the training micro-modules and providing an overview of the key topics and tools, including:
- environmental and climate justice,
- planetary health and real-world impacts,
- practical tools for more inclusive and community-responsive research (including a methodologies matrix),
- reflection on research practices.
The aim of the training is to support citizen science initiatives in strengthening fairness, inclusion, and the practical quality of participatory research and public engagement processes.
Given our work within the Slovenian Citizen Science Network, they see strong potential for shared interests and would be very interested in exploring opportunities for a light-touch collaboration.
Free webinar for your community
They can offer a 1.5-hour interactive session introducing the training and tools to citizen scientists.
Would you be interested in bringing this free training opportunity to a citizen science community?
If the training could be useful for a project or community you are involved with or know through your network, they invite you to get in touch with them. They would be happy to provide further information and a short form, or arrange a brief meeting to explore possible opportunities for collaboration.
If you are not the right contact person, they would greatly appreciate it if you could forward this message to a colleague or partner responsible for citizen science, or share their contact details so that they can reach out directly.
Thank you for helping to give back to citizen science communities and strengthen their work through training on ethics, sustainability, and responsible research.
Best regards,
Nikita and Francois
