1. NATIONAL EVENT

“Discover, collaborate, explore: day of citizen science”

The event is an opportunity for researchers, citizens and all those interested in citizen science to come together, share experiences and shape a vision for the future of this dynamic field.

The focus will be on an in-depth discussion on the meaning, role and contribution of citizen science in the contemporary research environment. Special emphasis will be given to exploring the possibilities for organising Network of citizen science, analysing current trends in international organisations and integrating citizen science into the wider context of open science.

A range of innovative practices and projects will be showcased, illustrating successful examples of citizen engagement in research activities. Attendees will be given the chance to learn about and engage in discussions on practical enhancements and novel approaches implemented in various citizen science initiatives.

On the event “Discover, collaborate, explore: day of citizen science” are our efforts focused on creating a robust and impactful platform for conversation, aimed at enhancing collaboration among researchers, citizens, and various stakeholders. Our goal is to facilitate the sharing of experiences and the creation of partnerships, which will help advance and elevate citizen science as a crucial component of an open and innovative research community.

We encourage you to participate in this journey to uncover, collaborate, and delve into the vast possibilities of citizen science. We are excited to collaborate with you and jointly explore the new opportunities that citizen science presents for a more open, innovative, and inclusive scientific community and society.

Event “Discover, collaborate, explore: day of citizen science” will be held on Wednesday 15. th of november in hotel Four Points by Sheraton Ljubljana (Mons), as part of the conference “Day2 open science 2023“, which will take place in the framework of Arnes conference »Knowledge network«.
